The locking mechanism on these tripods is surprisingly sturdy, so I can adjust the height one-handed while tending the fire. Having two means I can keep a pot of coffee going while a second one holds the skillet, which makes camp cooking way more efficient.

Set both of these up over the fire last weekend and the claw grips held the pot steady even when I swung it off the coals. Having two means I can keep a stew going on one while boiling water on the other, and the adjustable legs let me dial in the height without any fiddling. Solid buy for anyone wh

Got two of these and finally stopped fighting over one at the campsite with my brother. The adjustable legs lock in place easily, so we can hang a pot high for boiling or drop it low for simmering stew. Solid enough that I don't worry about it tipping when we're cooking over open fire.
