I was skeptical that a lighter Dutch oven could still sear properly, but this one browned my chuck roast beautifully and then went straight into the oven. The triple-seasoned surface is slick enough that even sticky tomato sauce rinsed off with barely any scrubbing.
The handle stays cool enough that I can grab it without a mitt, and my stew came out perfectly even on the bottom. Cleanup was a breeze with just a quick rinse.
I was surprised by how light it is—lifting it with one hand to pour out stock felt effortless. The lid fits snugly and the whole pot seems evenly heated across the bottom.
