I’ve had mine for six months of weekend camping trips, and the Boy Scout engraving still looks sharp after plenty of scrubbing. The naturally seasoned surface has built up a great non-stick layer, and it holds heat so well that my cornbread comes out perfect every time.
The heat retention on this skillet is fantastic; it seared my steaks perfectly even over a campfire. The natural seasoning is already slick enough to cook eggs without sticking, which really surprised me.
