I bought this for the stories as much as the recipes, and it delivers — the section on cornbread alone has me trying a new version every weekend. The photography really brings each dish to life, making it hard to pick what to cook next.
The photos alone had me drooling, but the real test was the cornbread recipe—it came out with that perfect crispy crust the book promises. Already have three more bookmarked for this weekend.
The stories between the recipes make this feel like a real kitchen companion, not just a list of instructions. I've already made the cornbread twice and the photos actually showed me how the crust should look.
