I’ve been using these for baked brie and individual cobblers, and the heat treatment really does keep rust at bay after washing. The 10-ounce square size feels just right for a single dessert portion without being too heavy.
Dropped one of these mini servers and it didn’t chip or rust like my old cast iron pieces would have. The heat treatment really locks in that non-stick seasoning after a few uses, and the 10-ounce size is perfect for crème brûlée.
I use this for serving warm spinach dip when friends come over, and the cast iron keeps it hot for a good twenty minutes. The heat-treating gives me peace of mind that it won't rust after washing, which is a huge plus.
