Mine came out of the wash looking brand new even after a greasy chili cook-off, and the cuff is long enough that I don't worry about splatter sneaking up my arm. Handling a 450-degree Dutch oven finally feels completely safe.

I pulled a screaming-hot cast iron skillet straight out of the oven and felt zero heat through the Pyrotex fabric, even at 450°. Washed it on a heavy cycle after a grease explosion and it came out looking brand new, no scorch marks at all.

The cuff is long enough that I can grip my cast iron skillet right where the handle meets the pan, and the outer fabric hasn't shown a single scorch mark after a month of searing. I tossed it in with my regular laundry after a greasy cookout and it came out looking almost new, which is way more than
