The draft vent is effortless to fine-tune mid-cook, so I kept the coals steady even through a breezy afternoon. It's built solid enough that I'm already picturing it bouncing around the truck bed for years of tailgates.
Took it on a cabin trip and the heat retention was impressive — coals stayed hot long enough for a second round of burgers. The draft adjustment is simple to use and gave me solid control over the temperature.
Used it for a cabin trip and was surprised how long it held heat even after the coals died down—much better than my old cheap grill. The whole thing felt sturdy enough to toss in the truck bed.
