First cook on it and the smoky flavor it gave my chicken was incredible—the cast iron really holds the heat and turns the whole grill into a little smoker. I love that I don't need a separate smoker box anymore, just this skillet sitting right on the grates.

The cast iron holds heat like a champ, and the smoky flavor it kicked out on my chicken was way deeper than I expected from just a skillet. I left it on the grill for a full hour and it didn't warp or struggle one bit. Exactly what I needed to bring that campfire taste to my backyard.

I was skeptical a skillet could actually smoke meat, but the deep cast iron walls held the wood chips perfectly and turned out the smokiest pork chops I've made at home. The seasoning is solid too, nothing stuck even after a full hour over high heat on the gas grill.
