The Y branding on the bottom is crisp and deep, so it won't wear off with scrubbing. This skillet is heavy enough to sit perfectly on a campfire grate, and the cast iron heats evenly for a solid sear. It's already become my go-to for weekend breakfasts.
Heated it up slowly before cooking, and the heat distribution across that 10.25-inch surface was incredibly even—no hot spots at all. That cast iron is heavy and solid, exactly what you want for a skillet that'll last.
Seasoned it three times and the first batch of cornbread came out perfectly golden with zero sticking. The weight of this thing is no joke – feels like it could survive a stampede.
