I use this for individual caramelized onion dips when we have guests—the heat-treating has kept it spotless after countless soaks. The rectangular shape is just right for a single portion, and it holds heat nicely on the table.
The heat-treating really works—been using it for dips and it hasn't shown a speck of rust. The 14-ounce size is perfect for a single serving of mac and cheese.
I’ve been looking for a small cast iron dish that won’t rust, and this heat-treated one delivered—used it for queso dip last night and it cleaned up perfectly. The rectangular shape makes it easy to fit multiple on a tray for parties.
