American Road Trip: 12 Inch Seasoned Cast Iron Skillet, Virginia

The Virginia engraving on the handle is a classy touch that makes this skillet feel special every time I pull it out of the cabinet. It’s already well-seasoned, so my first batch of cornbread came out with a perfect crust and zero sticking.

The first time I used it to sear a steak, the seasoning held up perfectly and released the meat with zero sticking. The pan has a nice weight to it—heavy enough to retain heat well, but not so heavy I can’t handle it with one hand. Really happy with how evenly it cooks.
