The square shape fits more on my burner than a round one, and those edges catch every bit of the drippings without wasting space. The seasoning is smooth and slick right out of the box, so my first eggs slid around like a dream.
The pre-seasoning was clearly done right; I used it straight out of the box and nothing stuck to the cooking surface. Cleanup with just hot water and a brush took under a minute.
I love how the square corners give me extra space for cooking bacon strips or four grilled cheese sandwiches at once — the pre-seasoned surface was ready to use right out of the box.
