I was skeptical about the stretchy silicone holding up on my heavy skillet, but the latch grips both handles securely and doesn’t slip even when I shake the pan. It’s also a relief that it’s food-grade, so I don’t worry about it touching my dinner while cooking.

Finally, no more wrestling with the lid when I’m trying to pour out pasta water one-handed. These latch onto my skillet handles and hold tight, and the food-grade silicone hasn’t picked up any smells after a month of heavy use.

The stretchy silicone grips my cast iron skillet lid so securely that I can tilt the whole pan without it budging. I bought two more for my dutch oven right after testing it on the first one.
