The recipes are easy to follow and feel like they've been passed down for generations. I love that it focuses on traditional Southern dishes, and the binding lays flat so I can cook without holding the book open.
I've already made two of the casseroles from this cookbook, and both turned out exactly like my grandmother used to make. The instructions are clear and easy to follow even for a beginner like me. Great for anyone wanting to learn classic Southern home cooking.
The recipes in this cookbook feel like handwritten notes from a grandmother—the directions are clear but leave room for your own touch. I made the cornbread dressing last Sunday and it tasted exactly like the one my mama used to make for holidays.
