The cast iron is pre-seasoned and ready to go right out of the box—I used the pie pan my first night and the crust came out perfectly crisp. Having the casserole and loaf pans in the same set means I’ve stopped reaching for my old aluminum stuff entirely.
The casserole pan heated so evenly that my first batch of cornbread came out perfectly golden on all sides. I love that I got three different pans in one set without having to buy them separately.
I was skeptical about cast iron for baking, but the pie pan's even heat distribution gave me the flakiest crust I've ever made at home. The casserole dish handles beautifully too, and cleaning is a breeze since the seasoning is already well-developed.
